About Us
Our Story
We are a team of deeply spiritual people who have seen the power of hope multiplied and its ability to transform communities by enabling people to overcome challenges and build brighter futures. Aasha Dei started because we heard about a community of people giving generously in their community to make a difference through social service endeavors, but due to financial constraints, this community was going to have to close down. We banded together and were able to purchase a building that would allow for viable income to support their social service endeavors and keep them active in their community. Not only that, but this building provided sustainable support so they would not longer need to fundraise for their needs as they aimed to reach more in their community. This one time effort expanded into our team meeting more people who were doing the very same things in other communities, but once again had the exact same need. They were limited by financial constraints and lacked sustainable income to empower them to serve in their communities.
Thus, Aasha Dei was born. We recognized the power of creating partnerships that would move from immediate support from us to finding practical ways to get them locally self-sustained through business ventures.
Practical Needs
During the COVID pandemic, our team was able to raise funds so that almost 1 million meals were made and given to our partnerships!
This sparked Aasha Dei's passion and mission statement. We recognized the importance of first meeting basic needs such a food security, hygiene, medical expenses, clothing support and safe living spaces. Allowing individuals to stabilize after times of crisis so they could then be empowered to build brighter futures for themselves which in turn allows them to impact their community with hope multiplied.
Trades Training
At Aasha Dei we seek to provide funds for school fees and offer trades training. We are always looking for new partners to come alongside our current partnerships to offer new viable trades trainings and connections. Trades trainings such as sewing, craftsmanship, farming and small business venture management are areas of need for our present partnerships.
